FRESNO KPX RACE RECAP:

This past weekend, JO Motorsports attended the second round of the KPX Series at Fresno. Overall, it was a successful weekend for those that utilized our Lo206 engine packages as our drivers claimed three victories, two runner up positions and multiple podiums throughout the weekend.

In the Lo206 Jr 1 category, Kai Sorensen, one of seven drivers that utilized our engine packages, dominated the day with a pole, heat race and main event win in a field of 20 drivers. Nick Curry was towards the top of the charts all weekend and started P2 in the main event; however, he would record a DNF during the race. Matthew Frecko made improvements throughout the weekend and would claim the fourth spot of the podium as Cooper Hicks was another driver towards the top of the charts as well and would claim a top 5 in the main event.Avery Kragh and Christopher Timberlake would finish P9 and P17 respectively.

In the competitive Junior 2 Lo206 category (31 drivers), our engine packages were used by three of the top five drivers. Throughout the course of the weekend, Dominic Gorden, Tomas Meija and Ruben Ramos were towards the top of the charts and overcame much adversity during the race day. After an eventful heat and main event, Gorden would charge his way thru the field from P23 to P1, Ramos from P13 to P2 and Meija from P10 to P4.

In the Lo206 Masters category, Mike Smith would claim the top spot in the main event after qualifying pole and finishing P2 in the heat race.

In the Lo206 Senior class (36 drivers), David Vasquez, Alieja White, and Mike Smith were towards the front of the field. The All three drivers were in the top five at one point in time during the main event and had a shot for the victory; however, in the end, Vasquez and White would finish P2 and P5 while Smith unfortunately recorded a DNF.

This past weekend, JO Motorsports attended the fourth round of the TriC Karters series in Fontana. Needless to say, the competition throughout the 206 classes were stout and high in terms of numbers. At the end of the weekend, JO Motorsports was able to claim the top two finishing spots in the Lo206 Senior category and the runner up position in the Lo206 Junior 2 division.

In the Senior Lo206 category, Jake Drew and David Vasquez occupied P1 and P2 of the talented field of 26 drivers; both drivers dominated the main event and separated themselves from the field as they ran fast times throughout the main and race day. Alieja White was another driver utilizing our engine packages and showed speed throughout the day. In qualifying, the young woman qualified P13 and was making her way through the field in heat two before a mechanical error caused her to DNF. After starting last, she would finish P13 in the main.

In the Lo206 Jr 2 category, Dominic Gorden was right in the mix of things throughout the day. The young driver qualified pole and started the main event from the pole position; after a close battle, Gorden finished P2 in a drag race to the finish line.

This past weekend, JO Motorsports attended the first round of the KPX series at Prairie City. With multiple drivers participating in a variety of classes, JO Motorsports had engine packages that captured a victory and multiple Podiums throughout the race weekend.

In the Jr 1 Lo206 category, Kai Sorenson would show speed during the race day by claiming the pole position, and securing the victories in both the heat race, as well as the main event.

Dominic Gorden and Reuben Ramos would be the drivers utilizing our engine packages in the Lo206 Jr. 2 category with both showing speed throughout the race day. Gorden qualified P2 in a field of 33 drivers and finished the heat race in P4. For the main event, the young man would cross the line in P3. Ramos qualified P7 in the field but fell to P16 in the heat race; however, the young driver would charge his way through the field to finish P6 in the main event.

In the Sr. Lo206 category, David Vasquez and Alieja White utilized our engine packages. In a competitive field of 32 drivers, Vasquez qualified P5 and would advance to P2 in the first heat race. In the main event, the young driver would lead a number of laps before coming home in P2. White qualified P19 and would record a DNF in the first heat race. After starting in the rear, White made her way to P17 in the main event.
